I have seen several poems about Christmas posted today... this prompted me to write this little verse:-)

Christmas Arrives Early On Soup

Christmas is coming, our wallets will be getting thin
Come on guys its MONTHS before we let Santa in

So lets see poems about sunshine and having loads of fun
I don’t want a continual countdown about when Santa Claus will come!

There is great truth in what you say.... Christmas has been so commercialized that we just throw it up for profit motives. To some, the true meaning of Christmas holds meaning that will last forever. Then there is the feeling I tried to capture when I wrote some lyrics some years back... "Christmastime Forever" ....... Love ya ..... Jake

I agree Tim - any mention of Christmas shouldn't be seen until 24th December - and the that's too early BAH HUMBUG LOL :-) Hugs Jan xx

I saw Halloween stuff at the store two weeks ago, My goodness I'm not ready to see that! Let alone christmas, I love winter though, but it has the whole months of december to play !

I hate the fact they start to get Christmas stock in the shops before the kids have even gone back to school - I find it depressing :-( Hugs jan xx But Christmas is a magical (but expensive) time when you have kids so you enjoy with Abby:-)

It does.... and the mince pies in the shop have a best before date of Ocotober LOl Like who eats them before Christmas LOL:-) Hugs jan xxx

Bah Humbug! Hugs Jan xxx Am living from day to day - won't be able to focus on Christmas this year and then its my birthday in January ... even more depressing LOL - think I will go into hibernation and wake up in Spring:-)
