Christmas Aint All That-The Darker Side of Christmas

I was born
on Christ-
mas day.My
mother was
sprung out
on drugs. My
father was
unknown, he
was one of
her tricks.
The moment
I cried, I was
placed in the
foster care
system. My
mother was
deemed un-
fit. I've never
known love.
I was placed
in several
foster homes.
I was raped
in most of
them.I ran
away from
those awful
homes. So I
was declared
ward of state
by fifteen.
The streets be-
came my hum-
ble abode.I hate
Christmas. And
there's nothing
jolly about it.

Hi Sandra, It is fiction, but whats fiction to me can be true for someone else. Christmas has not been been perfect for me each day, but it was filled with love. And that my friend is all that matters:-) Alexis

Fortunately this is fiction writing, unfortunately though, in many occasions true! Loneliness and luck of family and love makes Christmas a hard time to go through as it magnifies the innermost problems that lurk there! Powerful writing dearest Alexis! Hugs xxx. Good luck my friend!

Yes Gregory, it is fiction. Like yourself, in order to write about a darker side, it had to be fiction. It's not good to hear something similar happened to your wife. Thank goodness things began to shift when she met you. Thanks for stopping by- Alexis

Whilst Christmas is a time of merryment, for many there is certainly a dark side. A very powerful and emotional write Alexis, I hope with time things get better for you. Tom
