Christmas

As Christmas approaches
Fine wine and cheer
Think about those
Who cannot be here

Through conflict and disease
Many have gone
This time of year
Try and stay strong

For those who have lost
I send a big heart
I feel your pain
Now you are apart

Try to remain upbeat at this time
Sit back, relax, enjoy the wine
Easier said than to be done
Christmas is about having fun

They would not want you to be sad
Brother, sisters, mum and dad
They will be with you on Christmas day
Watching the little ones laugh and play

When you feel a tear form in your eye
Sit up straight and look to the sky
They can see your pain from above
They can still send out their love

Raise your glass
And give a wink
Look at the food
Those Brussels do stink

Laugh and be happy
As best you can
Merry Christmas to all
From this man
