Christmas

I smile, knowing tomorrow is Christmas, I smile, looking at my red and white striped fuzzy socks on my feet, They remind me of candy canes, I look outside at the Winter Fairy Land, Snow on the ground, joy in the air, I think of the elves making my presents right now, The sound of Sleigh Bells outside my window tonight as Santa Claus delivers my presents on his Sled, The Toys under my tree tomorrow, Momma smiling as I open them, Momma’s smile makes me smile, She smiles a lot at christmas, I know it’s hard because she misses daddy, I miss daddy too, but I know daddy is always by us, Christmas was always his favorite time of the year, He would make me hot chocolate, Get me a fuzzy blanket, and we would watch the movie Frosty The Snowman as a happy family, We are still a happy family, Me and momma are, I look into her eyes as she is Trimming the Christmas tree, She smiles at me as I string the jingle bells carefully over the branches, momma is beautiful, the tree is beautiful, The snow is beautiful, Christmas is beautiful. I smile.
