Christmas

CHRISTMAS

Bells, presents, snow and holly mean nothing
When there’s a man leaning on the doorway of a restaurant
While customers pass him to eat inside,
Watching him thru the glass on Christmas eve,
Not even thinking how glad they are that it’s not them.

You said it, Syd! In our rush to celebrate, we often overlook those who have no Christmas gifts waiting under a tree. Wonderful entry for Francine's contest and I wish you success! Love and blessings, Carolyn
