Christmas

So many men tried to become god, But only one God became man, He became man to give me salvation, Salvation for my sinful soul bought with his blood, His blood to cleanse me and to give me the chance to know Him, And so when I call myself a Christian, It’s because I have a relationship with Him, And when I eat the bread and drink the wine at mass, It’s in remembrance of His sacrifice for undeserving me, A God that loves me more than I could ever love myself, He traded Heaven to defeat my imminent death, And I’m alive because He’s the Way, the Truth, and the Life, This is love of the highest order, For a man to lay down his life for his friends, Christmas is a mass to remember, A mass to commemorate love, Because love was born at Christmas, And I am loved because Christ was born at Christmas.
