Christmas

Christmas Christmas comes in long nights of winter Honoring a child born so long ago Restoring hope for peace on earth In angel’s songs and shepherds bowed low Sleeping child upon the hay Taking Bethlehem by surprise Magi from afar revere the new king A humble child born before our eyes Simple rhyme celebrates all that we treasure when days grow long with winter weather.

Nice acrostic Sam. You tell the tale so well - not so simple with this form. Just lovely, every word. Congratulations! :)

The fact is He did arrive, and lived His life leading us is solid; we who believe, understand he is always walking with us and we will meet him face-to-face eventually, when that time comes. He is probably the most prophetic poet out of the lot.

Hi Lady L! Please forgive my delay in answering your wonderful message - way behind due to company and other pressing things! I really like your perception that Jesus is the "most prophetic poet!" We are truly blessed that the Word became flesh, lived with us, taught us and loved us in the way no other person could with the parting gift of the promise of eternal life! I am so glad you found this little acrostic. It is one of my favorites! I love writing about Christmas! Sending you many blessings!

Hi Anne-Lise, Thank you. I love writing acrostics. Learned about them in 5th grade from one of my favorite teachers.
