Phantom of the Opera Musical Parody Contest

His mask revealed mankind’s soul
  closing my eyes, I fear it is so
He drew near, for questing songs
        need music’s company
My regrets seep sadness deep
         as his face steals my sleep

The Phantom of the Opera lives
         in each dream I weep

Dark catacombs blazed unknown
  specter to accomplish bleak deeds
  Now deaf, small hearts hear not my pleas
          for music’s company
Pray I, new songs tend him well
          as adrift he now dwells

The Phantom of the Opera lives
           in tears my eyes swell

My curse seeks his damning mask
  impossibly lost to lovelorn’s task
His voice still sings aloud to me
          as music’s company
Thoughts of lurking shadows be
          chilled notes afloat to sea

The Phantom of the Opera lives
           in my peace he finds glee

Hi Cay Cay, I do like your sequel song. The Phantom Of The Opera has always been one of my favourite stories. Christina's song is a joy to read. I sometimes feel like the man behind the mask. Hugs always ..... Mike. XX
