Notes About The Poem

Spring

Choka for Spring

Sunday next the clocks
spring forward into magic,
we will join the daffodils
and crocus to meet
the sun and dance with wild wind
and sing joy-filled harmonies

of many splendid
things to welcome season’s change~
goodbye to winter
slumber and the cold
dark days of constant restraint
and ashes on the hearth.
