Choices

Choices I Sat Alone in the Dark One Night I'm Really Not Sure Why There Was Nothing on My Mind As I Gazed at the Midnight Sky But Then I Thought about My Life And All the Mistakes I've Made There Was Nothing I Could Change But a Few Good Memories Stayed Especially Times I Laughed And the Happy Times of Love The Tragic Moments in My Life When I Prayed to God above There Are Two Determined Factors About Our Life on Earth We Are Born and We Will Die And it All Begins at Birth After That We Have a Choice What We Become and What We Do It's Really Kind of Scary All the Blame of Who We Are... Belongs to Me and You

This was very thought provoking, and those deep thoughts do seem to come around midnight, when we can't sleep.... A great poem, Connie! Congratulations on your win!

Ah another existentialist. You echo in your lovely poem what goes on in the minds of many. Good work, Connie. Allan

Hi Connie; I give you a 7 for this poem. You are so right in what you write. Life is full of choices. It's up to us to make the right ones. I try, but sometimes - I still mess up. I guess it's because we are only human. Thanks for sharing..... Lucilla
