Choices
I choose to call you my friend, the most important part of my life,
I choose to trust in you even though you know it isn't easy for me,
I will never take you for granted,
I choose to keep your secrets, as closely guarded as I do my own-
As I would expect you to because you understand how hard it is to
share them,
I choose to always protect you though you may not understand why,
and no matter what it costs me.
I choose to always put you first because it makes me happy to do so-
I choose to believe that the choices we have made has brought us together,
We understand what we want for each other,
even when we don't understand what we need for ourselves,
I choose to allow myself to get close to you although I know I shouldn't,
I choose to believe it is most important to trust
in those you love in order to heal your heart.
My final choice would be to live each day with you in my life......
'Cause it wouldn't be much without you.
Someday you may choose to ask me about these choices I've made
and I choose to give you my best answer-
I choose to give you a special place in my heart......
because my friend, you have earned it !
