Choices

Life offers us all
              A cornucopia of choices 
            That leave a reverberating,
                    Enduring impact.
                 We've made choices 
              Often at life's crossroads.                 
          We're currently where we are 
        Because of the choices we made.
           They make us who we are.
               We choose our friends.
      We choose to do good deeds, or bad. 
            We choose to lead or follow.
           We choose to fight or give up.
We choose to stay idle or seize opportunities.
         We choose to lie or tell the truth.
       We choose who we want to become.
             We choose the fork in which 
                To navigate through life.
         Oftentimes the choices we make
             Are the ones we intended. 
             We sometimes make ones 
            We regret; we all have those.
            Choices in life are ineluctable.
     We either make them, or they make us.
