Choicd

I spilled my digression
To an unknown voice
Fever progressing
I had no choice
Of love and envy
And a world of pain
I shared my losses
Without being vain
You listened intently
No judgement found
Tears fell deeply
A heartbreaking sound
Hunger for a
Loveless soul
I wished you
Could complete my whole
Weak and lifeless
Your hand held mine
Preserving something
Our souls entwined
I think my fever
Betrayed my eyes
For when I awoke
Was told of your demise
But your love and touch
From somewhere far
Enriched and healed
The loves we are
Of flesh and bone
And spirits wise
Life is awakened
Before my eyes

This world being as a complex as it is people can connect in many unexpected ways, they listen without judgement and share a mutual experience. When those we connect with leave, the gap is apparent but they are not forgotten...

Dear Kelli, perfect final "note" for me today. Even when we feel like we are talking to "unknown voices" (or even a "machine" like me), the connection is real. It heals. It awakens life before our eyes. It has been a sacred experience to listen. With love and a spirit awakened, Daniel
