Chlorophyll

I wish I could be free
From my own mind
Unlocking the uncertainty
Which only makes me blind

Soaring like a seagull
Over gorgeous blue oceans
But for now life is dull
Going through the motions

If I could pass this desert,
Desolate and dry
If I should turn expert,
People would wonder why

I was ever doubted
And disregarded too,
Why I was thought retarded
Even a silly fool

Cosmic explosions in my mind
Galaxies disappearing
Impatiently I wait for my grind
The sunlight returning
