Chiron of Centaurus

Chiron the wise centaur wounded and in agony was enthroned in the sky by Zeus - spared pain for being kind. Chiron half-man, half-beast had more the heart of a god - so from his own gateway of stars shines down forevermore. Hey Andrea, this is excellent, i've always loved Mythology especially Greek or Roman. but this is special, your true poetic prowess shows through here. the two last lines second stanza are gems.

I hate poems written for contests. Its artificial and restricted. What do you want to say for your self not to "win" something?

the wins are nice, but I do contest simply for the inspiration, Rebecca. I have written so many poems about myself and my life, I need new material and the contests fit my need perfectly. this one was especially hard for me to do. It's a very restrictive form, to that I agree!
