Chinese Secret Lovers

CHINESE SECRET LOVERS

                                      Bold frogs croak
                                 Garden pond danger watch
                                      Carp smile deep

                                         Lovers halt
                          Frog-beckoned silkworms weave
                                        Worlds vanish

chinese poetry is deeply intertwined with setting--and the chinese garden is full of small creatures--including crickets, frogs, grasshoppers, dragonflies....the koi (or carp) are very large--about 12-18 inches...i have lived and worked in china and have a lot of experience in this cultural phenomena.
