Chimera
The Chimera is no mere myth of folklore,
but a monster risen from bowels of earth,
hearts freezing with fear, when it rises to roar,
even as the goat atop frolics in mirth,
as snake spews venom and the lion’s claws gore.
A strange resemblance with Baphomet gives birth
to the thought that this tale may have some merit;
the jury is still out, truth yet to ferret.
