Chimera

I am not a she-monster
Though trolls have called me worse.
I do not breathe fire
though have been told I'll burn in hell
by media, both social and in print.
They thought they knew me
#lyingcheat #notyourkids
#benefitcheater.
Or just plain #liar
through pain, I bore two kids
then suffered pain again
when told I must have stolen them.
Trying to cheat the system.
They were not mine,
the kids,
the tests had proven
I must have lied
so;
"Take them from the lying cheat"
they screamed; the mob.
My name is Lydia,
half a twin, a Chimera.
I do not have two heads,
but found, I have two sets of DNA.
And that explains
the children that are mine;
and also not mine.
It does not explain
hysteria,
the hate,
the mob.
