Chilvary Is Dead

He told me chivalry is dead.. He said it was made a made up  delusion in my head.. I smile as I gave this statement some thought.. Because it simply goes all I was taught .. The things that my mom drilled in me... How a lady should conduct herself how respectful she should be. Let your man know he is the man right from start... Relinquish in him control of the finances our sons and yes even our hearts.... Stand by him through good times and bad... Hold on to him when times are happy or sad.. Never let him forget he is the man ... Let him know by his side you will always stand. ... How then could he not want to take his place . At the head of his dinner table with a broad smile on his face.. How can a man expect to be a king.... When he wont except the responsibility of supporting his queen... If being a man and caring for your woman is dead. How do you convince your self you are still a man its all in your head....

Hi Gloria: I believe it is no longer an arrangement on who gets top billing in a marriage. It must be based on mutual RESPECT as Aretha Franklin pined in her song.I have three daughters and I raised them to be independent. I enjoyed your poem and its message. Welcome to the soup!
