Child's Perception

Through their eyes

I can see smiles from others
I see colors on the TV
I see dogs at eye level
While they are licking me
Hahahaha (Laughter)

I see monsters in my closet
I see bats while in flight
I see shadows that are scary
When I go down for the night
Oooohhh (Fear)

I see a mommy or my daddy
I see the love that they share
I see that they do what’s right
Because for me, they do care
Aaahhhhh (sigh of happiness)

I love you too, mom and dad
And always will

A point of view we often forget to acknowledge, from a child's eyes. Very sweet poem, Michael. ~ Carrie
