Children of Today

Children of today 
Have a lot to say
Always arguing and talking back
Showing the respect
They all lack

Difficult to keep
Difficult to give up
Loving them you must
Until they turn to dust

Children are like candies
Some are sweet
Some are sour
Mood changes from hour to hour

Children 
you must not give up
On them
Fiercely showing them love
Will keep
Their heads above

Jan Allison February 16, 2018 at 7:03 AM such truth in your words I can relate so much as I worked in a school for 16 years years and the students could change so suddenly. the first and third stanzas resonate with me the main thing is never give up on a child - they grow out of their teenage troubles and change so dramatically:-) hugs jan xx
