Children of Light

Let there be light, the Maker's voice declared,
And darkness fled before His sovereign might.
A room once dim, now brilliantly prepared -
One switch, and shadows turn into light.

Christ bids us shine, a beacon in the night,
Like lamps that guide the lost through forest deep.
His Word, a lamp to our feet, makes paths right,
Through tangled trails where fears and sorrows creep.

When trials come and hope begins to fade,
Look to God - no darkness dwells in Him.
The Light of Life walks with us, be unafraid,
He dispels gloom when days grow cold and grim.

Though once in dark, we now children of light,
We shine with grace and glorify His might.
