Children, Express Your Darkest Emotions

Children, Express Your Darkest Emotions

Children, express your darkest emotions on canvases
You can use any dark colours, no restriction
Express your darkest emotion, art is for that
Your anger, sorrow misery, confusion, shame
We will accept you, admire you, agree with you
Create the most honest, sincere, provocative paintings
We won’t correct you, don’t worry
I will catch you as of now
You’re not wrong, you're just weak and sensitive
You don’t need to force yourself to paint to please an’ adults’ mind
After you’ve expressed everything in your hearts
You might see what is going on inside you
And if you are tired, have a rest
If you are sleepy, go to bed

I don’t expect you to be better later
I know that you are afraid of change, so am I

Just express yourself and see who you are
My hope for you is that you gain the strength to face the facts
But not now, maybe later, one day
