written 7/30/23 To the tune of "Mamas, Don't Let Your Babies Grow UP To Be Cowboys."
CHORUS:
Children, don't let your mamas grow old and be lonely,
Don't let them get sick with no one to care,
Call them and visit, spend time, be aware.
Children, don't let your mamas grow old and be lonely,
Cause she gave you the best years to raise you 'til grown,
Don't leave her feeling unloved and alone.
A mama's not perfect but she loves with all of her heart.
She teaches and nurtures, praying right from the start.
Now that you're grown don't forget all about her.
Listen to what she has to say,
Keep in touch and include her, don't leave her out,
Feeling loved will sure make her day.
CHORUS;
There'll come a time when your mama must leave this earth,
It is then that you'll realize just how much she is worth.
I hope you don't wait 'til then to appreciate her.
Embrace her now, show her your love,
Forgive and forget any perceived transgressions,
Before she is taken above.
CHORUS:
Children, don't let your mamas grow old and be lonely,
Don't le them get sick with no one to care,
Call them and visit, spend time, be aware.
Children, don't let your mamas grow old and be lonely,
Cause she gave you the best years to raise you 'til grown,
Don't leave her feeling unloved and alone.
