Children

What a terrible life
The woman sits down and breaks down
She cries
Tears drop
The sun shines
She wakes up
She goes to work
She goes out with men
One after another
All she wants is another child
One after another
Her miscarriage was too much to bear
She thinks to herself I never had a child of my own
Why couldn’t I have a child of my own
Blank stares
The child
She goes out
Puts her lipstick on
A brave face
She goes out looking for a mate
A silent tear
Goes as she enters the room
The man with her
All she wants is another child

This is so real, powerful and moving. An honest emotional poem.
