Childhood Waters

I took a stroll one hot summer day
The sun glared with its hot rays
As I walked beside the flowing waters of the river
At the reflecting light off the water I would gaze
Wading through the rippling rapids
The cool water ran
While I stood and listened
To the trickling of the water
And watched it dance around around my legs
And flow away….
