Childhood Sweethearts

CHILDHOOD SWEETHEARTS

We were childhood sweethearts sowing dreams of growing old together.  Little did we know in those early days  ---  days of how we may struggle just to make ends meet.  Today, with silver threads of hair, and the soon to be celebrated 75 years of wedded bliss, four children, eleven grandchildren and remaining good health, we take a backward glance at the Blessings that have been ours.  Oh, so much to tell.  But it must wait.   I must make the final arrangements for our second honeymoon.

How kind of you but, alas, it is a tale of fiction written to coincide with the rules of Silent One's contest. I am only 75 years old and I have 9 grandchildren for real. My first wife sought greener pastures, my second wife died suddenly almost 4 years ago, and my third wife and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary on June 8th. I felt compelled to let you know.
