Poem written for “Seven by Seven” poetry contest, Nette Onclaud, sponsor, January 22, 2026.
Bare feet slap summer pavement. Sticky hands, melting ice cream. Laughter drips down our chins. Treehouse whispers hold the stars. Sandcastle dreams crumble slow. July fireflies wink goodbye. Time chews our names to dust.
