Childhood Memories

CHILDHOOD MEMORIES

My memories are vivid
I can really remember my childhood
I only remember bits and pieces

Flashes of good things
Like my dad
When he was still alive

The laughter of my sister
Her jokes and
How beautiful she was

My grandmother’s toughness
With her hard core
Spirit and personality

My grandfather’s
Laid back spirit
And how gentle he was

I feel like I know the family, having read these snippets of truth. There is a bit of sadness interwoven here also.
