Childhood illusion

When I was asleep, Child hood memories crept in, As I entered a realm of fantasy, where childhood's joy was reborn. Hopping and jumping , with wild freedom, untethered and free. Where smiles stretched across the land, Where we all sang and jumped into ecstasy, Where joy and laughter flew in abundance , And I felt freedom unlimited. But suddenly I woke up from the deep slumber, And realized it was just a wishful illusion. Yet, the memory remains, a bittersweet refrain.
