Childhood Friends
I thought of you today
I wondered, How you were
I know it has been awhile
And you may be wondering, Why.
Today of all days
I choose to say, Hello
I don't want to tell a lie
I know it has been awhile
But believe me, I have tried.
I have even cried
I know you would like to ask, Why
I can't tell a lie even if I tried
You my friend are the reason Why
My childhood had a Happy End.
