Childhood Friend
I know this is a big surprise!
To a friend, I fondly want to praise!
Takes me a decade back in time,
To the days we would call as our ‘prime’
Am amazed at the strong inner self that is sublime,
Love and care in abundance,
That am sure is her loved ones permanence,
Her Cheerful, chirpy self brings a big smile to people around,
Ramble queen is what she is fondly crowned,
The short bike rides from college,
The long, deep chatter times we managed
The small arguments and tiffs that was a part,
But it never ever pulled us apart,
I make comments and compliments without a second thought
Only because am sure, you know me quite a lot
The love,care and understanding that we share,
Is in this age and time very rare
I treasure this friendship that is to me very precious!
Raffish self that you are
Attached self that you are to others,
Myriad of talent that you process in dance, fashion and arts,
Adorable one that you are
Would that aptly summarize you the way you are?
