Childhood Dreams

I look at the ashes of my childhood home,
thinking about the memories
the experience,
and the fun I had in this house,
wondering where the time went,
where the creativity,
the fun,
the optimism went,
I guess it has disappeared
into the ashes of the house
never to be seen again.
