Child of Mine

A pretty little beast with
a simple child-like mind
she screams in silence with
words of judgement.

I only want to protect that
innocence before it is
deflowered by greedy desire
to make it all go away.

"love" is a feeling of emotion
surrounded by waves of a
chemical embrace enhanced by
sensation that everything you
were taught was a lie.

How could honesty be so pure
when the heart guesses to
understand the true intentions
of our souls entangled by the
memories of her birth.

Sweet she pretends to be young
and even though she is still
learning the true faces behind our masks
she doesn't even know what is
said anymore than what she can accept.
