-child-

Daily Poetry #61, March 30, 2017
Word: Child

If
you want
to know what
the universe
looks like, look into
a child's eyes and smile.
No light shines brighter than a
curious child who looks up.
Those endless eyes will hold the bright stars,
the planets, the galaxy, and beyond.
When a child discovers something,
a new star appears and shimmers.
Hold them close, for one day,
those stars may lose their light.
One day, when they're gone,
you'll realize
they were your
only
star.
