Child

there's a child
tryin hard to hold on to his breath
as it tries to scape his tiny and fragile body
he cries all night in pain
a woman is on the verge of giving up
neighbors keep on mockin
ignoring the fact that we all go through the same path

there's a child
same age as mine
having nightmares of sexual abuse
by his uncle
i wonder if he's gonna realise
that it wasn't a dream at all
but the reality of his life as a child
will he be able to survive
that past hauntin him
now that he has grwon beard?

Very sad and a good question. Those terrible things hurt forever I think, Emmanuel.
