Chez Renee First Rose

Amid burgeoning buds on many rose bushes, Bridal Pink floribunda just filled early season blooming wishes. On wide low bush, tiny shell pink buds spiral open, A blanket of blooms soon rewarding my devotion. Edges pale and centers darken as they age, Compelling view at any stage. Three inch blooms of thirty petals blushing, This 1967 rose resurges, all season flushing. With a fragrance sweet, spicy and light, Truly an early season delight. Pale pink bearded iris vie for attention too A living room window spray in full view. Protected by overhang from weather strain, They’ll soon pass while sturdy roses reign. M. Renee Taylor 5-24-18
