Cherries Canned Fresh Or In Jam

Cherries are delish
On top of a Banana Split
Topping on a Sundae center of whipped cream
Straight from the jar a tasty treat

They are so good by the pound
Fresh from the grocer
Get a bowl and bite around the pit
Or made into a jam_lickety split

But all those cherries have their pit
A lot like life
There's lot of good
But always some strife

We learn the best lessons
When we're in the pits
Somewhat like we get bowl of cherries but soon only have pits
But wasn't the good part wonderful

(Thoughts came on this one after remembering the line
"If life is a bowl of cherries, why am I in the pits"..
I think that Erma Bombeck said that but not sure..
Just not my line orginally.)

great thoughts here, inspired by one of my favorite of all fruits. In fact, were it not for that bad pit, it would be my favorite. But i hate having to spit out the pit! so watermelon tops my list. In case you didn't know, a bibelot is a thingamajig, so you pretty much guessed it. WE can't really know what the guy gave her! Luv,Andrea

Guess all we can do is enjoy the cherries and try to avoid the "pits," Sara. Great statement on life, my friend. You stay in my thoughts and prayers. Thanks for your kind comments. Love, Carolyn
