Chemical Handcuffs

What is a detox?

When you get put on different medications
with the same list of frustrations
I am a patient patient
but sometimes I lose my patience

All these pill bottles keep my heart racing
all these pill bottles keep my feet pacing
all these pill bottles keep my mind chasing
trying to deal with my past but there is no erasing

I am young but feel like a old soul
took the medications played my role
I went to two too many doctors it took a toll
one day I will be free from these chemical handcuffs that's my goal. -TA
