Listen to poem:
Cheese Pie* No-one knows the secret It's the recipe of kings A little piece of heaven With the sense of joy it brings There's the thinly veiled outer Shielding substance deep and rich Like the satisfying scratching Of an ancient yearning itch Too many have attempted And it's easy to be burned The balance is so delicate Reputation must be earned Applauded for such talent Consumed as validation It's the beauty of the long sigh At the start of a vacation It's not a solo venture This beach holiday without end For this pie is only tasty If you're sharing with a friend Jinjagoliath 13th June 2023 *vegan options are also available
