A piece of Taleggio cheese

CHEESE

Wisconsin is the Cheese Capitol of the USA
There you can find cheese ever on display
And of this wonderful thing called cheese
There is a type for everyone if you please

There's Cheese Grits, and Nacho Cheese
Muenster, Guta, and Cantonese
Goats and cows milk both are used
Making it easy to become confused

Even sheep and camels get in on the act
Their milk is used for cheese -- that's a fact
Cheese is a staple familiar to all
It comes in slices or rolled up in a ball

There's Parmagiano-Reggiano, Gouda and Brie
And smelly Limburger, you may want to try
Roquefort, Camembert, Cotija and Chevre
Monterey Jack and Mozzarella

Emmental, Taleggio, and Feta
The list goes on, and the Cheese gets better
But I'm only allowed to post twenty lines
So you'll have to Google for more flavors to find

A lovely cheesy piece Curtis, so well penned giving us all that taste for some. I like it but try not too much as it puts on the cals. Hope life good with you, Blessings, Gordon

You've piqued my curiosity with that intriguing last line, but also enjoyed the other nineteen as well!

That line is easily explained. I Googled cheese flavors and got a list of different cheeses. The the contest sponsor stipulated we could submit no more than twenty lines. I was at the end of the poem and the limit in lines. So, being the guru of goofiness, I indicated that if anyone wants to know more about cheese than just by reading my poem they will have to Google it.

oh what a tasty treat you served up Curtis and you gave me many memories as I've not had Taleggio since I worked as a private nanny in London, its not a cheese I've seen on our little Island. I must try and get some one day!:-) hugs Jan xx

Brilliant verse Curtis, I'm a lover of very strong cheese, the stronger the better. Good luck. Tom.

Thank you so much, Tom. If I should go to the fridge and not find cheese I would have to be taken to the emergency room suffering from withdrawal symptoms. lol On a different note, I still get mail regarding the tribute you wrote to me on 75th birthday. I responded to you on Soup Mail thanking you and some people think that I did not thank you at all since they didn't see a response from me. So, I may have to 'back track'!
