Cheers For the Canadahoodians

Have a blast to celebrate the past
One hundred and fifty sure went fast
A tip of my brew
To you and you too
A flock of fine friends unsurpassed

If you happen to visit the lower forty-eight
States, busy becoming re-great
Ignore the dust
We're nonplussed.
Oh, and thanks for not closing the gate

Though we may close ours — build a wall!
Majestic and mighty and tall
Keep your sanity
Ignore our inanity
While politely watching us fall

My brother, the family genealogist, tells me we have kin up north. Seems my grandpa the bigamist sowed seeds far and wide. Interesting how an imaginary line can make such a difference in folk's attitudes, eh? Come down anytime, we've got American French Fries, a colossal identity crisis and wide open spaces with sunshine here and there;-) Cheers! ~ j

Canada is a real pretty place, with lots of still wide open space, our friends to the north, who go back and forth, But mostly draft dodgers misplaced
