Cheer the Year

Hurrah let's cheer
For nothing new
But one more year
Nothing now
To really fear
Once alive and really bold
Now another guy turned old
Days flying by
No need to cry
Too late now
To even try
Can't do much more
Still have to write
Don't close this store
May get it right
Can't have the bucks
Can't have the glory
Just really have to sell my story
No shortage of creative folks
With unsold "stuff"
All force their jokes
Many a creative mind
Yet all alone
They're left behind
So what's the purpose of my tale
Without some help
Another "masterpiece"
Goes stale
