Notes About The Poem

Our best friend passed away suddenly on a Friday night - he didn't even get to enjoy his weekend - It happened fifteen years ago. Still grieving.

Cheated, Cruel Death Cometh

on a friday night no less
death struck
     the weekend robber

Ruthless certainly shakes up the word death. This poem has taught me that in a big way, Line. Kudos!

I know, Daniel. Haikus are unclear by nature, that's why I love titles that give a context. Thank you so much for your visit and comment. Much appreciated.

Whoa! Mystifying! Layers of meaning in that last 'Line!!' ('Peel the onion' time). Thanks for the 'think-write!' :) Gershon

Inspired by our loss of a friend on a Friday night many years ago now but never forgotten. Thanks for your visit and comment, Gershon.
