Chasing Scars

I spent so long chasing scars so I'd have more pain to write about
I needed new scars so I had more pain to fight out
It's been dark for too long, I need someone to change the lights now
No torch with me during Storm of depression
Had no energy or will to live, i couldn't accept any form of affection
Ironic how the Hardest time was a few years ago when I was impotent for a few months
Depression found a way to hit me with a new punch
Even more ironic they'll tell me i shouldn't Bring that up
Poking fun at my own previous embarrassment
Maybe I should reconsider what I share with ink
Since i got over that patch, I've been ready before my Thing is touched
Me and every girl have been Linking up
One night stand, after one night stand, I wouldn't ring them up
But now I'm tired of one night stands and want to find a girl to give a ring and such
Am I worthy of being prince charming, when before I was the king of lust
Tried to fly, but made to feel like my wings weren't enough
The real hard part
Taking my shirt off and having to explain every self-harm scar
Which are now covered with tattoos, and I'm asked why I have so many
99 problems, but what happens when you're no longer mad at any?
Because you're numb and unable to feel
Bipolar and crazy, but do you have to be stable to heal?
I spent so long chasing scars
They won't know how to take this art
Maybe I got too personal and shouldn't have wrote this
But if you're not willing to be honest, can you call yourself a Poet?
