Chasing Rainbows

Storm clouds finally passed us by
the sun shines over head;
rainbow spans across the sky
with brilliant hues instead.
Hues of every color known
to spectrum far and wide;
beauty now by nature shown,
an offering of pride.
We’ve been chasing rainbows now
forever and a day;
searching for that pot of gold,
and love along the way.
As we gaze upon this sight,
this rainbow up above;
thinking now the time is right
to consummate our love.
Fulfilling all our fantasies
in hopes that love’s not blind;
chasing rainbows to appease
these dreams held in our mind.
