Chasing Dreams
The song of dawn leaves a spider's web in dew
Its silken threads bejeweled in morning light
The opulence of the sky in golden hue
Causes birds to exult in chirps of delight
With an impetus to find nectar's embrace,
Where flowers adorn gardens with beauty and grace
Butterflies give each flower a tender kiss
As they enjoy the taste of nature's bliss
Fluttering between the chasm of earth and sky
they dance upon the summer breeze
The vicarious heart of a child flies high
As he chases after them with ease
Running after an endless summer dream
Catching rays of sunshine's gleam
Making a mockery of impossible schemes
Getting his heart's desire as he so deems
