Chasing Butterflies

Fluttering across the meadows I see butterflies that skip and dance There are two together side by side Must be in a romance I called to them, guess they did not hear Flapping their wings, they remained where they were Oh how I would like to hold them I wonder if this may occur If I chase them they’ll fly away Perhaps I’ll never see them again I can wait for them to return But I just don’t know when. I’d scare them away if I ran toward them They wouldn’t know that I meant no harm Patience is a virtue I’ll wait right here Wish they’d land right on my arm. Some things in life are worth waiting for Let time rule, just pause and hesitate Don’t rush in, survey the odds When you do, you will appreciate

Younger days we'd used the net, stick our arms in and slowly pull it out as they rest on your arms, then in a blink of the eye, they'll flutter away, but there's some that stays on your arms whereby you'll gently blow them off, thanks for sharing a memory douglas, Aloha wk
