Chapters of Life
"Life seems to be a never-ending series of survivals, doesn't it?"
_Carroll Baker, B 1931, Actress and Writer

My life seems to be like pages in a book,
when I finish one chapter another begins,
sadly, not each chapter has a happy ending,
but some parts are quite happy and also funny,
I was a goofy kid, I recall my grandpa would laugh,
at my red wagon used to collect my forest treasures,
well, he was the one that made it for me for that purpose,
and I recall sitting in dad's workshop on his bench helping him,
well, not exactly helping but asking him a zillion little girl questions,
but he did not mind and would kiss me on the head and smile laughing,
see, its not all bad, there is a lot of happiness woven into the deep sadness,
it all depends on what pages- I choose to recall from the chapters of my life.
