Chapter 3-- Damian Hakim: the Hakim Uncles Visit

Today October crisp fall afternoon
Damian incountered Papo and the
Diablo cousins after school.
Papo relates with
The familiar customary handshake.
"Hey Damian big man what's going
On?" Damian grinned, "Ain't nothing
Man, just chillin' juust chillin'."
So Damian were with the Diablos
Until CJ Julius and Jackson showed
Up. Damian punched Papo, "gotta go
Papo later." Papo accepted his
Departure with a nod. Damian nodded
In return. On the way home with their
Father, Julius asked, "Aah you have
Gangster friends, huh? Damian said,
"Nah, that's just the Diablo cousins."
Their Okay." Julius remarked,
I heard kids saying stuff about them.
Damian said, "it's not true." Then
They were home as their father
Parked the car, they entered The
Apartment. Carter asked, "Damian
Is that true? You are associating
With the wrong people, now you
Know you have to many brothers
For that." Just then the door bell
Rang. CJ answered, "Hey Uncle Rodney!
And Uncle Savarho! Uncle Kerris!
Carter Hakim welcomed his brothers
"Hey Fellows how are you all doing?
I was just about to have a much needed
Conversation with my young Damian
Here about gang affiliations. Uncle
Leaned heavily on Damian's shoulder
And said, "Damian in the family's
Future the weight of our destiny may
Fall mostly into your lap." And with
Those words he poked Damian hard
Into Damian's chest. I know you WILL
continue your association with any
Gangs. I know that! I have faith in
You Damian HAKIM!! Gaurd our
Future Damian. Do you agree with
All that I have said, and LOOK ME
IN MY EYES when you answer son!"
Damian looked at him trying mightily
Not to be intimidated. "Yeah uncle I....
Agree with every word." Damian
Smiled in appreciation of his uncle's
Words. "Good." his uncle said smiled
With Damian and squeezed his shoulder.
